Digital, Smart, and Low-Carbon: "Green IPM" Safeguards High-Quality Living in Chengdu-Chongqing
In the Bayu land where two rivers meet, how to balance vibrant urban life with green, low-carbon development? Rentokil Initial has provided a "digital and smart" industry-standard answer. During its development in Chongqing, Rentokil Initial strictly abides by national environmental protection requirements and fully promotes low-toxicity, precise Integrated Pest Management (IPM) solutions. By conducting on-site inspections and structural rodent/pest proofing, the scheme blocks pest breeding at the source. Simultaneously, by comprehensively applying physical trapping, thermal treatment techniques, and digital/smart monitoring systems, it ensures rapid elimination and deterrence of pests while significantly reducing the use of chemical agents. This low-carbon and eco-friendly management model not only effectively enhances the working and living quality of citizens in Sichuan and Chongqing, but also highly accords with Chongqing's ecological civilization construction goal of building a "Pioneer Zone for Beautiful China".
In an interview with reporters, Ms. Han Qing appreciated Chongqing's unique city character — "Spicy". She stated that "spicy" represents Chongqing's unique enthusiasm, vitality, and resilience. The booming development of its automotive manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, food processing, and other industries has also allowed Rentokil Initial to perceive immense development prospects. Ms. Han Qing emphasized: "Pest control and hygiene are indispensable and key links in urban construction and public health systems. In the future, we look forward to conducting broader cooperation with government departments, enterprises, and other parties to deeply integrate world-leading green technologies with Chongqing's modern industrial clusters. With higher international service standards, we aim to help enhance the quality and efficiency of Chongqing's public health system, taking practical action to respond to the WCITME call of 'Empowering Industry Quality Improvement Through Green Upgrades'."
From a century of accumulated international experience to local practice rooted in Chengdu-Chongqing, Rentokil Initial has always stood at the forefront of environmental hygiene management. Shining at this edition of WCITME not only demonstrates Rentokil Initial's firm determination to deepen its presence in the Chinese market, but also opens a new journey of fully assisting the green upgrade of western industries.
